SDHC is the designation for any SD™ or SD-based card that is larger than 2GB and adheres to the new SD 2.00 specification required for cards and hosts to support 4GB to 32GB capacities. The specification was developed by the SD Association, an industry standards board, which has also created three classes to define minimum sustained data transfer speed. When first released, you have to pay about $150 for single thumbnail sized MicroSD 8GB. But now the prices is going cheaper at about $130 at Amazon. With 8GB MicroSD, you have phone with same capacity with Nokia N81, Nokia N95, or SE W960i :)

Toshiba joins the 8GB microSD club
First came Samsung, Sandisk, and now Toshiba has joined the club of companies producing 8GB microSDHC cards. Look at that little cutie on the right there. For owners of compatible handsets specifically the Nokia E90 this is cool news.
Feel like storing 2,000 4MB MP3 files (say, maybe, 200 CDs-worth?) in your phone? Well, soon you’ll be able to: Toshiba’s card is due in October.
With 4GB microSDHC cards currently retailing for about £30, these 8GB cards are unlikely to be bank-breakers. That 32GB standard-sized SD card on the left is rather sweet too…
Alongside with 8GB MicroSD card, Toshiba also announce the worlds first 32-gigabyte (GB) memory card in this high density, and 16GB SDHC. All the new cards meet the Class 4 specification in the SD Speed Class, ensuring they deliver the high level performance and functionality essential for advanced mobile phones and other personal digital products.
The 16GB SDHC card will be available worldwide from October, and the 32GB SDHC card and 8GB microSDHC card will be launched worldwide in January next year.
SDHC Memory Cards can be used with devices that support the SD Memory Card Ver. 2.00 standard. They are not backward compatible with standard SD Memory Cards. Toshiba say that they have only been able to produce standard SD cards up to a maximum size of 2GB. In order to meet high-capacity needs, the new SDHC-standard cards was presented. SDHC cards use the FAT32 file system and are high-capacity.

Nokia Announced 4 GB MicroSD
After rumored before, Nokia eventually announced the Nokia 4 GB microSD Card MU-41. It's a bit late since Samsung and SanDisk has released it about 5 months ago. Still a good news though. This microSD card provides 4 GB of removable storage and increases your device's available memory for data, music, and software applications. The Nokia 4 GB microSD Card MU-41 is a perfect match for the Nokia E90 considering the brilliance of the 3.2 megapixel camera you can store loads of photos and still have space for your MP3's and Movies.

Memory Support for Nokia E90: Could E90 go beyond the 2 GBytes?
On the official spec, Nokia say that N90 will support Transflash / MicrSD up to 2 GBytes. With GPS capability, music player, 3.2MP camera, and tons of application, the 2GB capacity is just not enough. The question is, can E90 go beyond the 2 GB limitation?
As far as I remember, support for FAT32 was introduced in Symbian OS v8.0. So all S60 3rd Edition phones, which use Symbian OS v9.x, support this file system. Theoritically FAT32 file system can support up to 32GB (cmiiw). So it should by definition support cards of >2GB. 4GByte Micro SD cards should be fine with E90.
Other good news about E90, this communicator will suport microSDHC! That means you can get bigger and faster memory card for your phnoe. You can get just annaunced 8GB MicroSD from Samsung.
No point in having N91 8GB then, is it ! I bet this is ruining nokia's plans right now! If N91 8GB had the memory advantange, now it has no adavantage at all! Why buy a phone with a silly screen resolution, just because it has 8GB, when u can buy the "oh so much more complex E90", and simply wait for the 8GB card to show up, not to mention the fact that 16GB and 32GB version will also work! Note that flash based memory is much more reliable than hard-drive based memory on N91.
8GB storage means 40 Gb worth of mp3-music in eAAC+ format. This 8GB card would be killer combination with E90, considering stereo music capability, camera for stills and VGA video (eats lots of memmory), and that wide internal optimized for movie watching !
